Prof Dr. Dr. Christian Templin qualified from the Medical School of Hannover, Germany. He started his career as a clinical and research Fellow at the Medical School of Hannover, Germany and Boston, USA. He achieved the board certification in Emergency Medicine (2008), Internal Medicine (2009) and Cardiology (2010). In 2009 he awarded a Fellowship for the Special Program University Medicine (SPUM) funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. Since 2011 he works as a consultant cardiologist in interventional cardiology and acute cardiac care at the University Heart Center, University Hospital Zurich. In the same year he received the prestigious Scientific Prize of the Swiss Society of Cardiology for original research work in cardiovascular disease. In 2013 he was awarded the Siegenthaler Prize for his extraordinary work on stem cells and cardiovascular disease. In the same year he also earned the prize "women and heart disease" from the Herzstiftung Olten. PD Dr. Dr. Templin is Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC). His clinical and research interests are in interventional cardiology and acute cardiac care as well as in regenerative medicine.

PD Dr. Jelena Ghadri graduated from the Medical School of Hannover, Germany and Medical School of Aberdeen, United Kingdom in 2006. In 2006-2007 she started her research and clinical fellowship at the Medical School of Hannover at the Department of Internal Medicine, Division Nephrology and Hypertension. In 2008 she joined a clinical fellowship at the Department of Internal Medicine at the University Hospital of Zurich. From 2010-2011 she worked as a research fellow at the Department of Cardiac Imaging at the University Hospital of Zurich. In 2011 Dr. Ghadri participated in a short-term fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, USA under the supervision of Prof. Abhiram Prasad who is an expert in the field of takotsubo cardiomyopathy. Since 2012 Dr. Ghadri is working in the Department of Cardiology as a resident and research fellow. Her main research interests are non-invasive cardiac imaging, gender medicine and the pathogenesis of takotsubo cardiomyopathy.
